As with all dog food recipes the first thing we are going to look at are the first five ingredients. The first five ingredients are a good indication of the quality of the dog food. When looking at the first five ingredients you want to make sure there is plenty of meat and grains are minimal.

Elk is the first ingredient and is a named meat ingredient. Dogs need a diet that is based around meat and protein that comes from meat. It’s always good when the first ingredient is a named meat

Salmon Meal is the second ingredient and is a named meat ingredient. Dogs need a diet that is based around meat and protein that comes from meat. This ingredient provides additional meat and protein.

Ground Millet is one of three grains in the first five ingredients and is of decent quality.

Ground Brown Rice is the fourth ingredient and is a decent quality grain that adds additional protein and carbohydrates to your dog’s food.

Oat Groats is the fifth ingredient and is also a decent quality grain that provides additional carbohydrates.

    timberwolf is great food but very very hard to find in my area.what pay 78.per bag plus shipping,its not that good. to bad my dog loved it for the little while he had it. we live in ma. on cape cod. who carries it near here????
