Taste of the Wild Dog Food Review

One of the best ways to show our love for our dogs is by giving them the best diet which can provide sufficient nutrients for growth and maintenance. We believe that Taste of the Wild dog food is one of the best brands of dry food being produced today.

Taste of The Wild dog food is manufactured in one of three facilities located in the USA.  Taste of the Wild dry dog food is available in four formulas which are designed to meet the nutritional needs of your dog in all the life stages. All four formulas are certified to be grain-free. The carbohydrate component is provided by sweet potatoes and peas which are highly digestible and are ready sources of energy for your active dog.

The different formulas of Taste of the Wild dog food have been scientifically-formulated to adequately meet the required amino acids for a healthy body. The ocean fish meal is rich in omega-3-fatty acids that helps support a robust immune system and maintain your dog’s sleek and shiny hair coat. Each Wild Dog formula also incorporates fruits and vegetables including blueberries, raspberries, tomatoes, and tomato pomace which are rich sources of natural antioxidants. The Pacific Stream formula which contains salmon and ocean fish meal is highly suitable for dogs with sensitive stomach and allergies.

The makers of TOTW dog food have formulated different dog food formulas that contain lean meat of quail, duck, turkey, fresh salmon, bison, venison, and lamb. The manufacturers of TOTW use only purified water through reverse osmosis.

This is an outstanding dog food that contains a lot of meat, no grains, with a lot of quality, antibiotic and preservative-free ingredients.  TOTW uses an antioxidant blend to keep the fat ingredients from going rancid. The only controversial ingredient is tomato pomace, but it is used in a limited amount.

Probiotics including Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus acidophilus, and Enterococcus faecium is claimed by the company to promote a healthy digestive system to help effectively digest, assimilate, and metabolize food nutrients for faster absorption and distribution to the body cells.

Customer Reviews

Reviews and customer ratings of the Taste of the Wild Dog Food formulas have consistently received top scores and high ratings for their ingredients, palatability, and overall effect on their dog’s health. Many dog owners have only the best reviews for the different formulas of Taste of the Wild dog food. Dogs love it so much even picky eaters are now looking forward to their next meal. Many dog owners also love how their dog’s skin and hair became healthy and shiny after switching to a Taste of the Wild dog food formula.  One of the only major drawbacks of this brand of dog food is that it is expensive relative to other brands.

For many dog owners, their dog’s age, health and development are important factors to be considered when deciding on what type or brand of dog food to buy. There are so many brands of dog food in the market today and without proper research, one may end up buying dog food which is not fit for one’s pet. The Taste of the Wild line of dog foods has attempted and has been successful in filling up the gap that links the domestic dog its past in the wild. Taste of the Wild is a highly recommended dog food and their formulas have had very highly rated reviews on our site.

My dogs love TOTW!The younger one doesn’t like dry food much and I used to mix it with canned food. Now he eats straight from the bag!Their coats also look shinier now.

I have been using TOTW since it first came out. I have a small breeding kennel of 10 Jack Russells. This food keeps them healthy and happy and looking good. Mothers and pups thrive on it and none of the dogs have issues with it. That is hard to do – get 10 dogs to like and do well on the same food.

I didn’t intend to switch from Wellness but did after my Greater Swiss Mountain dog kept having terrible stomach and intestinal issues on his other food. We tried 5-6 brands for him including ones for sensitive stomachs. NOTHING worked. Within 2 days of putting him on TOTW, all his issues vanished; no more vomiting every day, no more “swissy licking” attacks (look it up, it is real and painful), no more bloating, no more gas. So then, naturally I tried our terriers on it and the rest is history. Have been able to find more expensive grain free, fish based foods… but not one that really outshines them.
