I just received an email about problems with a dog food that was causing illness and deaths in dogs, Nutro Dog Food. It struck me funny as I just made a Vet appointment for my dog because one out of every three days he’s not feeling well and refuses any (including steak)food. He has a noisey stomach and sometimes vomits. I thought that he may have been eating grass and that was the cause. I’ve watched him very close and he’s not eating grass. I fed him Solid Gold Dog Food dry and then I added their can food to his diet because he was an active dog. I bought a case of the Turkey, Ocean Fish, Carrot, and Sweet Potato formula. It was not in the pop up lid cans but the solid lid. The date on it was 3/11/2010, I purchased it in Alabama. I will be bring in this dog food for my Vet to check when I bring Petey in for his appointment. I thought that I had him on one of the best foods out there. Someone should be held responsible for this poor quaility control and a company should be held liable. No more Solid Gold for my dog, I care too much for them to feed them an unsafe product!!
