Chicken Meal is the first ingredient and is a named meat ingredient. A dog’s diet needs to based on the fact that dogs need meat and protein that derives from meat.

Rice makes up the second and third ingredients. Rice is a decent quality ingredient and adds additional proteins and carbohydrates to the recipe.

I have 3 chihuahuas all under 1yr old. They’re all fed RC Mini Chihuahua 28. They have stinky gas, lots of loose poops, itchy flaky skin and goopy eyes. This food is not good for my dogs and I’m taking them off it!!!!

My vet recommended this food because of the awesome research that goes into the royal canin foods. Look up their headquarters (neat stuff) and the website gives you tons of info. My three chihuahuas love the food and do well on it.

I have been using Royal Canin foods for 12 years. My 13 yr. old Chihuahua went on it at 1 1/2 years, and for the most part stayed on it until she was 8 and I switched her to Aging Care. She weighs 4 1/2 lbs. and NO ONE that sees her can believe her age. She is the picture of perfect health. Her vet attributes it in large part to her Royal Canin diet. Over the years I periodicly tried other brands to compare (Blue Buffalo, Natural Balance, Pinnacle) and not only did she not seen to do as well on them, she never really like them. As someone who works in a large pet food retailer, I often recommend Royal Canin to customers. I have yet to have one come back with anything but praise for it.

I have used Eukanuba for my chihuahua for the first 4 years of her life and not really impressed healthwise, but when I switched her to the Royal Canin line, she has improved and at a grand ole age of 9, she looks and acts like a 2 year old! Very happy with Royal Canin!

I have 2 chihuahua’s. One is 2yrs. old and the other is 7 wks. old. My 2 yr. old dog used to eat Science Diet when she was little but ever since she was 3 months old, I started feeding her royal canin and she has loved it. My other chihuahua was on Purina Puppy Chow Healthy Morsels until about a couple of days ago and she was not able to eat the food since the pieces were too big for her mouth. So when we went to Petsmart in Pueblo we got some royal canin puppy food and she has been able to eat that kind very easy and can chew it. Both my chihuahuas are enjoying their food and I wouldn’t change their food no matter what anyone says.

My two two year old Chihuahuas enjoy the product. They are finicky eaters but they do enjoy this and I am very happy they do.
