It always irritates us to see false statements on dog food ingredient lists. Fish & salmon meal only contain a fraction of glucosamine.  There is a very large amount of ethoxyquin in this product, a preservative that has been banned in human food. This is a very low quality dog food that contains very low quality ingredients. Menadione sodium bisulfite complex is banned in human food and we would like to see it banned from dog food. Brewers dried yeast, animal digest and salt should not be in a dog’s diet. This products main ingredient is low quality brewers rice.

I got a sample pack of purina pro plan shredded blend. It amounted to about a cup only that i put in with my dogs food. and she had realy bad diareah. yuckkkk. It made her sick. I ushaly feed then olry and i make my own dog food protine suplemet. It has Cooked meat – dicounted meat is great- It aslo has oats and Carrot peals and trim from the kitchen- it aslo has celary trim from the kitchen-m and some times peas- My dogs love peas and oats. When i don’t have oats i put beef fat on their dry food so that they have softer easier stools to pass. I find that on the home made food my dogs are more happier and energetic and calm and less hipper. My dogs look so much healthier and have a better coats. They also are not over waight on the home made food. They have a thick skin hide. I get lost of complemnts now on how healthy and handsome my Boy dog looks and my girl dogs people just love how healthy her fur looks.

im realy confused. I just bought this dog food for my dog, she is 3 and a half years old and has being having realy bad allergy problems since a long time ago, now we re treating her with natural medicin and besides the vet prescribed this pro plan salmon food cause we dont want to try any more meat or chiken based food because that might be the cause of her allergic reactions.

I do not know any other alternative to this purina food that meets the needs i just explined, can you recomend any other food that supplies my doggy with a faithfull protein thats not lamb, meat or chicken?

    thank u
