As with all dog food recipes the first thing we are going to look at are the first five ingredients. The first five ingredients are a good indication of the quality of the dog food. When looking at the first five ingredients you want to make sure there is plenty of meat and grains are minimal.

- Ground Whole Corn
- Chicken By-Products Meal
- Rice
- Corn Gluten Meal
- Animal Fat
Ground Whole Corn is the first ingredient. Some believe that’s dog’s digestive systems have a hard time digesting this ingredient. Corn in excess has also been linked to many cases of dog allergies. Corn is also introduced to this recipe in the form of Corn Gluten Meal as the fourth ingredient.
Chicken By-Products is the third ingredient. This ingredient is impossible to determine the actual quality of. The AAFCO definition of chicken by-product meal is “a meal consisting of the ground, rendered, clean parts of the carcass of slaughtered chicken, such as necks, feet, undeveloped eggs and intestines, exclusive of feathers, except in such amounts as might occur unavoidable in good processing practice.”
Rice is the third ingredient and is of decent quality.
Animal Fat is the fifth ingredient and is an unidentifiable source of fat, therefore making this a lower quality ingredient

This has to be one of the worst dog foods in the world. Just think someone out there is feeding this crap to their puppy without knowing how bad this crap is.

WATCH THIS VIDEO. Read your labels on your dog’s food. If you see “Meat and Bone Meal” or “Animal Digest” or “Animal Fat” you can bet that it came from a place exactly like in this video. If you think Pedigree is any good you better watch this until the end and then decide if you feel the same way. I also bet that if you pick up a handful of Pedigree dog food, you will see small hairs and you should understand where they came from after watching this. ALSO, when euthanized animals are sent to the rendering plant and then put into your pets food, the drug used for enthenasia DOES NOT break down in the rendering process. Think about that as you feed your next bowl…your dog may look good on the outside but it’s what you are doing to the inside of your pet that is the worst.
Pet food companies deny using euthanized dogs and cats in their food, but if it comes from a rendering plant there is no way to prove that it does not contain our companian animals. Even if it was just cows, sheep, etc. these animals still get euthanized and the drugs DONT break down, and “Animal Fat” contains the highest concentraion of these drugs. Pedigree then preserves the already toxic animal fat with BHA and BHT that have been linked to cancer. What a horrible way to start a puppies life. I always wondered where the little hairs in Pedigree came from….go look in your bag. Look closely at the kibble
