Fromm Grain-Free Surf and Turf Dog Food Review
As with all dog food recipes the first thing we are going to look at are the first five ingredients. The first five ingredients are a good indication of the quality of the dog food. When looking at the first five ingredients you want to make sure there is plenty of meat and grains are minimal.
Fromm Grain-Free Surf and Turf Dog Food First Five Ingredients:
- Salmon
- Duck Meal
- Potatoes
- Pea Flour
- Sweet Potatoes
Salmon is the first ingredient in this recipe. This ingredient is inclusive of its water content. Meaning that once the water is removed and this ingredients becomes a dried ingredient it will weigh significantly less, thus making it fall further in the ingredients list.
Duck Meal is the second ingredient and is a named meat ingredient. Dogs need a diet that is based around meat and protein that comes from meat. This ingredients adds additional meat and protein.
Potatoes are the third and fifth ingredient and is a decent sources of addition carbohydrates.
Pea Flour the fourth ingredient isn’t one of the best ingredients and is primarily fiber.

Hey Michelle, I finally fed a little of this to Tony. Wow, he really liked it, but I was surprised how small the kibble was. Gee, I wonder why he liked it, lol, can you say duck. I really doubt he chewed very much, just swallowed. I am not sure of the price in my area because I got a small bag at a store I rarely go to. I have not seen it around. I am sure K9CUSINE carries it but they are a little spendy.

Ya they were a little much, 71 bucks a bag. I can get the “best dog food made today” for only 59 bucks. I’ll keep looking around and see if I can find it cheaper, especially since Tony loves the taste of this OUTSTANDING dog food.
