Is there an administrator that can contact me regarding a friend trying to register. She is patiently waiting her approval and it has been almost a week since she registered. She has used the contact form without success.
OK!!! ... I didn't get any response to my email but the false person I signed up, "test" seems to be a member and should be able to post. Maybe your friend is a member and doesn't know it because he/she didn't try anything because there was no reply via email as promised.
Oh, well ... the new user "test" doesn't have the ability to make posts. Let me check further.
The membership activation email came to my email address about 25 minutes after I applied. As near as I can tell, its all automatic. Have your friend try again and see what happens. He/she MAY or may not have to use a different user name. Let me know what happens.
ETA: maybe there is a typo in her email address that she left in the sign-in part.
I've suggested all of this to this member. She said that she checked her spam for the email. I'm beginning to think that it may have been a typo with her sign up....
Thanks y'all. I'll have her retry using a different username and hope that does the trick.
Is there a way to delete her first attempt to register at all? It is not allowing her even with the change in username because the e-mail address has already been used. This way she can use her regular email to check replies, etc.
Okay, I set her up a fowarding email so she can use that to register. Hopefully this will work. Thanks for your help.
