Why oh why are people SO STUPID

I've been a little busy since yesterday afternoon......,,I've "rescued" a pup or two before ( read trespass and stealing )
Well lately there has been a brindle dog wandering the area. I got to talking about him with a couple of my neighbors, and found out there is also a nursing female that runs with him. The neighbor followed the dogs to a house nearby and saw a litter of pups. Mama dog is really skinny and both dogs are unapproachable. So, of course, I had to go investigate. The house where these dogs were is a place that the people are hardly ever there. Sometimes they are only there on the weekends, and they leave the dogs to fend for themselves Anyways, I came back home with six puppies. I just couldn't leave them there. They are about 5-6 weeks old, stunted from malnutrition, anemic from all the fleas, and full of worms I'm sure.

So I spent the morning bathing them and killing hundreds of fleas one by one! They will be going in for worming tomorrow, and health certs. Under the circumstances my rescue group will bump them up on the transport list, so we can get them out quickly. They might be flying out on Sunday to a rescue group in West Palm. If not someone else will be continuing their fostering, since I am not equipped to keep them for very long. Not to mention I AM in the dog house

Oh my goodness they are so incredibly cute. i know they are a huge handful for you - but glad you were their guardian angel :)

How adorable! Good for you to just march on in and take them...They definitely will find homes as cute as they are and they don't look in too terrible of shape!

You know in your heart you did the right thing, and so does your other half, even though he'll probably never admit it, well, not for a while at least.
Good on you, you are a good person, they are going to have a hell of a lot happier and longer life thanks to you.

Mo is a feisty little guy, and Bear is an absolute teddy bear. He crawled up in my lap today after I was done bathing them all and fell asleep.
