    Default euthanize schmeuthanize

The woman pressed the issue and the man opened — and gave her — the contents of the bag. Inside was a puppy so deformed that it couldn’t walk or hold up its head. Shelter workers and veterinarians grimaced when they saw the dog and came to the same conclusion: It really should be euthanized.

He was my friend, my partner, my defender, my dog. I was his life, his love, his leader.
He was mine, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.

I "stumbled upon" this a few months ago. It was so sad and happy at the same time, almost made me cry. I'm so glad he got a second chance at life.

Swimmer puppies can definitely be saved! It is best handled at an extremely young age. That little Harper is so cute and I'm glad they didn't give up on her! She should go on to live a full life and not be affected further at all once she gets muscle tone going.

Theres a video at the bottom of the page. She seems to be doing really well, her legs seem to have straightened out and shes definitely walking a lot better.

awww how cute she is!! im glad she got a second chance!
as sad as it is to think sometimes with deformities imo it is better to just have them humanly euthinized. in a perfect world there are dozens of people willing and capable of careing for an animal with speciel needs but sadly this is not a perfect world and its very difficult to find people who are not only willing but capable finacially or mentally.
