    DefaultStore-bought Smelt

Found some gutted and cleaned wild caught smelt at the store. I was wondering if it would be okay to feed to Cricket yet. I really want to get some fish going in her diet to help her skin. A fish-based food really helped her skin when we first got her so I really want to get some back in as soon as possible.

I'm not familiar with smelt. Heard of it, but is it an oily type? That's really the only benefit to fish is the oily type for the omega 3's. Otherwise, it's about useless. Maybe just another protein but low quality. If it is oily, you could start giving her some.

Yup it's oily. They look decent too. I'll probably give her some soon.
