...what the recommended upper limit on sodium is? A local grocery store has chicken legs on special this week, and I'd like to stock up, but want to make sure that I'm not going to be causing cannon butt and throwing out cases and cases of chicken :)

normally, I don't get it if it has more than 85 mg per serving. That's about the lowest I've seen it. but sometimes, I get 100 mg

Well, that's the serving size stated on the package - i think it's normally 4 oz but I could be wrong. It might vary by producer and by meat.

upper limit is 100 mg per four ounce serving.

personally, i think it's a little misleading, because a tiny dog would be affected by 100 mg / 4 oz serving...and a really big dog might not.

still, i try to keep the sodium level at around 80 mg

Thanks guys! Looks like this chicken is at 35mg/4oz serving, so I will grab a bunch! I think I'll soak them just to be safe.

Nope - I found chicken and googled the nutritional info! :)

BTW, if Save on Foods is on the mainland, CQs are $1.59/lb this week!

Good to know that I wasn't the only confused one here.

soaking won't matter...and the sodium level is so very low, you're good.....do you know what brand..that's the lowest sodium count i've ever heard with chicken.
