My daughter's 6 month old lab has decided to become a poop eater. I've never had a RAW fed dog do this before. He's doing it at daycare where there are lots of dogs...probably about 50% are kibble fed and I'm guessing that is the poop he's going for. I had originally heard it was something lacking in the diet that caused this but with RAW I'm at a loss. Maybe he's just a little stinker.
Two of my 7 raw fed dogs would down poop if given the chance...one we are having issues with because she was eating so much poop she was puking regularly so she is being monitored 100% of the time now. So I don't think it is entirely abnormal for a dog fed raw to go for crap. I would keep him on a leash out in your yard when you supervise him and correct the behavior...at doggy daycare the only thing I can think of that really might stop him is a soft muzzle. TBH my dogs all seem hungrier on raw so it wasn't a surprise they wanted to supplement their diet w/ something extra to feel full.

Poop eating is nearly 100% a behavioral thing...not a nutritional thing. The people at doggie daycare need to stay on their toes on cleaning things up ASAP!!! Because keeping dog poo cleaned up is the first step to nipping this in the butt...
I think its a behavior thing also...
Yeah, I think some dogs just like to eat poop...
