Default Help identifying fish? Is black sea bass ok to feed?

    photo.jpg

I got these fish when I went to pick up some turkey from another CL score...anyone have any idea what they might be? They are about a foot long and are a dark brownish color. He gave me four of them so I would love to incorporate them into Rosey's diet, if not I know my parents would love to have them haha :)

    EDIT
Thanks for the help! My uncle is a fisherman, and said they are black sea bass (a type of grouper). Are these ok to feed?

I have no clue, but this should help to identify it if it's a carp.

And there's about 50 varieties of carp. A goldfish is a carp. i figured what the heck, the odds are pretty good!

    Here's a bunch of photos:

It does say they are oily fish, so maybe the would be good for dogs.

    The head totally screams grouper.
As for it being black sea bass, You'd have to stretch out the fins first. Hard to tell with the fins clamped.

Far as I'm concerned there's nothing wring with grouper that you can't feed it.
