I'm a college student studying Biology with plans to get my Master's degree in Marine Ecology. My current research experience is with Asian shore crabs (an invasive species) and Xenia coral. My major interests are coral allelopathy and feeding mechanisms of fan worms.
Although I ultimately plan to study coral reef ecology, I've always had a lot of interest in domestic animal nutrition. My dogs are fed a prey model raw diet and my rabbits have recently been switched to a homemade diet, too.
Besides my dogs and rabbits, I have a few other pets: a ball python, a Kenyan sand boa, a red-cheeked mud turtle, a gargoyle gecko, and several aquatic creatures (freshwater and marine).
I'm involved with a local dog rescue and foster dogs on a regular basis. I sometimes take in foster rabbits when I have the room and am a supporter of HRS (House Rabbit Society). Basically, the house can be a zoo sometimes, haha!
