  1. Do you live in the states because the price you pay for chicken quarters seems to reasonable for Canada plus the fact Walmart in Quebec doesn't sell meat. Right now I am doing an independent research on nutrition reading all I can from books and independent sites on the internet. In time when the business picks up my boss will send me to formal classes on nutrition held by a nutritional specialist Chantale Robinson. Funny you say that it is your dream job because it is mine also and I told my boss that on my interview.lol Good job finding ways to make that budget stretch I admire you.
  2. Thank you! I do love animals very very much. I'm so jealous that you have your own pet boutique store, it's like you're living my dream life. Evo and Orijen are two of the best kibbles on the market, however, if you have money for that you might actually be able to save money switching to raw. If you're truly interested in raw, you should try out prey model raw and see how it fits into your budget. I feed my three dogs and cat on it and it only costs me about $60/month for all of them. But it's really only feasible because I have a WalMart super center thing that has chicken leg quarters for 63 cents/pound. I've seen them for 73 cents/lb at Safeway too I think. They make up the bulk of their foods. And you'd be amazed at how many people clean out their fridges and want to throw out perfectly good (for dogs) meat so you can get that for free too. I'm not trying to pressure you or anything, just telling you how I make it work with my budget. I'm a college student so I'm not exactly rolling in money, but I definitely find a way to make it work. But I realize it's not for everyone. Where are you studying animal nutrition?
  3. I like your style, you seem to be someone with a good heart and truly care about animals. I always enjoy seeing you are involved in a post. Just a bit about myself. I work in a pet boutique and I am studying pet nutrition. I have learned so much and still have a lot to learn. If only my memory would be working at 100 % lol I am a member on 5 other forums relating to dogs and look at all the links just to see if there is anything new. I am interested in raw feeding but I have two dogs and two kitties and I feel that it would break my budget. I do give them the best that I can and Orijen and Evo isnt' shabby. Hope you have a great Holiday Season and a very happy and healthy New Year !
