Hi MW. Glad to see I'm not the only one with a cat that thinks he's a dog. Cats are funny animals. When we got the dog he just started to walk with us up the road and back. Now he follows us for about 1/2 a mile. The funniest thing is that he's not even on a lead! I think because he's a Bengal he's quite different to most cats. I've had a few cats and none have ever followed me on a walk. I've had people talk to me in the street about the cat and everyone thinks it's funny that he follows us. He comes when I call his name and he will stand on his back legs when I say "UP". At the moment he's getting raw chicken wings and he'll only eat them if I keep hold of them as I do with the dog. He's so funny.
Hi - I'm mollywoppy, or Penny in real life. I'm actually a Kiwi living reluctantly in Florida. Anyway, I just wanted to touch base with you because I have a cat that sounds very similar to yours! I adopted her 8 months or so ago and she also walks with the dog and me every night, about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile. She sits, comes out on the boat and in the car, in fact I really love her. When you are walking, do you get cars stopping, reversing up and saying 'this is the first time I've ever seen a cat walking on a leash' and carrying on? I do, its bloody embarrassing, but I keep doing it because I reckon she needs the exercise and she does enjoy it, so why not? Anyway, don't want to carry on, but thought I'd pm you as I don't know anyone else with a cat like mine. Pity we don't live closer, we could walk them together!!! Cheers
