I suppose with my boy, it wasn't so much "aggression", but fear. He was TERRIFIED of other males. He would growl and eventually snap even if they weren't being pushy or anything. Yea, he was my stepdad's originally, so I don't know how he was socialized as a pup. Thanks. It was pretty upsetting, but it was hard to be too sad because we got out pup the same weekend.
My family just had to put down our 17 year old brittany about 3 weeks ago. I got married and moved away about 7 months ago so I was knowingly saying my final goodbye when I left, but he was a great dog. They are an awesome breed. You say he doesn't like other males? Ours didn't either. Never. He was the only one I ever owned but maybe it is a breed thing? I worked as a groomer at PetSmart for a while and the few brittanys that came in didn't typically get along with other males either.
I can't tell from the picture, but is Ryder a brittany?
