New member saying "hi"
Hello everyone! I love talking and learning about dog nutrition, so happy to have found this site! I am a first time dog mommy of a 6 year old (rescued) beagle. His name is Trigger, he was a failed hunting dog who had spent almost his entire life tied to a tree before we got him last Fall. Now he is mine and my husband's baby.
Before we adopted him, he was eating dollar general brand (canned/dry) food. We knew nothing about dog nutrition at first, but our vet told us to put him on all dry food asap, because his teeth are in terrible shape. So, like idiots, we went to walmart and bought him a bag of dog chow.
He refused to eat it...so that is when I began researching dog nutrition... and found out just what is in dog chow
Trigger is currently eating TOTW wetlands (dry) formula...and far too many homemade treats, LOL!
