Hey everyone. Found this site from someone's blog. New to raw food diet and hope to learn a lot more.
I have two dogs, (Lab mixes), and seven cats. I just started the dogs on their raw diet about 4 days ago and the cats started yesterday for dinner. Dogs think I'm the greatest thing on earth as do the cats.
Have already noticed that the dogs are calmer. Also, it's true, no doggy odor. I picked them up yesterday and sniffed all around....they simply do not smell. The savings have already started as I will have to wash everything way less than I do now.
Oh, the dogs are actually puppies going on 5 months now. They were tossed out in to the street like garbage to fend for themselves, in traffic. Their sibling had already been hit and killed when my neighbor stopped in the middle of traffic and scooped them up.
I've had a dog in the past. I wasn't planning on having another dog just yet but now, I have two. I did not feed my dog the raw diet in the past although a vet told me that bones were "nature's toothbrush" so I did get her soup bones for that reason.
This time around, though, I'm going to do it right and try to make it up to the cats, as well.
Cheers!
welcome!
good on you for taking in two puppies.....how are they doing with seven cats?

Hello and welcome! Glad to have you here! Post up some pictures of your pack!
Nice to have you here! Welcome to the forum.
That is wonderful you took the two pups in along with the fact that you are feeding your animals raw!
I hope you find this forum as helpful as I do.
I'd love to see some pics. too!![]()

magicre, the girl, Sakari, does not seem to care one whit about the cats. She could take 'em or leave 'em. The boy, Shasta, wants to PLAAAAAY with them, PLEASE let me play with the kittehs!!! But he's too rough and he needs to learn so he doesn't get to play with them much. He does get swatted on the nose quite often, though. (Edit, I should point out that this swatting comes from the cats, not me.)
He is doing better than when he first showed up but we've got some work to do.
As for pics, I set my avatar to display the hoodlums.
Also thank you sara and danemama for the welcome.
