I have been using Blue for 7+ years now. Usually I'm pleased with the product I buy 30 lb bags at a time for my Lab. This lasts approx. a month.
As I neared the bottom of my recent bag I noticed MOLD on some of the pellets I've emailed the company(BLUE BUFFALO) and got no response.The pet supermarket I bought it from said they have a 10 day return policy, But they would talk to a supervisor and get back to me. Needless to say I'm still waiting waiting for a response. At $54.00 a Bag I expect someone to contact me even if its with a half ass apology. This same thing happened 11 years ago, with a not so well known brand purchased at a local feed and seed store. I was given another bag of food to replace the one that was bad. I opened that one before I left the store...turned out every bag on the pallet was bad and had to use another brand. I was still given the other brand free of charge. A letter of apology from the company! And an offer of a free vet visit(I didn't use) for my dog.

What was the exp. date?
I would switch stores (if not brands because most destributers get it from the same people in a close location). If they do not respond, i would switch foods and write their corperate office and tell them how displeased you are with their food, as well as the company you brought it from.
I've delt with this problem before in diamond naturals. I had the bag for three days and saw mold. They told me i shouldnt leave it in an open container and thats why it got molded. The problem was it was in an AIR TIGHT container and sealed untill fed, then resealed. and it was only there for three days. They kept telling me it wasnt their fault. I wrote the Diamond company and they gave me three free bags of Taste of the Wild, from where ever i chose to get it. Needles to say, it ended up being the way the feed mill stored their kibble! It was low and able to get wet and not taken care of.

I've had alot of my friends switch to Blue Buffalo just from my advice. If I get no Response from Blue.. They will loose more than one consumer. I Hate it for them. But you are right about the store. I moved to Port st. Joe Florida 6 mo. ago and started buying it from a local store. Not the Big chain...PETSUPERMARKET...They order it as needed i forgot to call and ran out so I drove to Panama to get it. The store owner offered to say I bought it in her store to replace it, I wouldn't let her.. I feel its one of these other companies responsibility to MAN UP and do the right thing. I'll let you know what happens...
