Raw food got rid of most problems but Snorkels still has super runny eyes. It does work wonders, but if problems aren't food related they will remain. Fortunately, alot of problems ARE food related.

She still breaks out around her eyes, and has thin hair on her underside. There are so many more benefits to the raw diet.....amazing body condition, and coat. And even though I was hopeful that Kai would completely recover from her allergies, it has only been a partial recovery....but I'll take that any day.

If you give raw a try he WILL thrive, and you will see the effects of food allergies disappear!
IslandPaws is correct...Yogi has environmental allergies also but only flare up during spring and summer...we shall see what happens this year. I'm hoping the last five months feeding raw and being off all meds his immune system has built back up.

Unlike, your experience Yogi did not have a full blown allergy breakout until he was 10 months.

Hope raw is the answer and let us know if you have any questions.

I think he's allergic to chicken, and how much should I feed him? He's 90 lbs and do I need vitamins?

Raw chicken is different than cooked chicken. Scarlett'O has two dogs that will go bald if given cooked chicken, but eat all the raw chicken they want with absolutely no ill effects. You don't need vitamins and if you read through the link you will see that you want to start out with 2-3% of his body weight. However, it depends on the dog and how easily they transition, Huginn (my pup) is getting only about 1.5% of his adult weight right now because of having giardia and a more sensitive tummy. For a 90lb dog 2% is about 1.8 lbs 0r (28.8 oz), but before you do ANYTHING read that link. If you read it you will see that you don't need vitamins, how much to start with and what cuts of meat to start with. You really want to start with chicken it is the easiest on the digestive system. I am pretty new to this so someone with more experience will chime in soon.

I just wanted to comment on the bolded section. Raw won't "cure" environmental allergies but it can, in some cases, cause a huge improvement (or even the disappearance) of symptoms. Raw promotes internal health, which makes the immune system more able to deal with environmental allergens. Deeken didn't have any issues with his allergies last summer/fall (when they used to be the worst). His were mild to begin with and I'm not claiming raw will "cure" environmental allergies but I certainly wouldn't say it has no effect either.
