I stumbled across this forum today, and it seems pretty neat so far.
I really became interested in dog nutrition about 8 1/2 years ago when I bought my first Dogue de Bordeaux. He had some allergy issues and I did a lot of "research" to find a food for him...eventually settled on Wellness, but since then I've also fed Innova, Orijen, Solid Gold, Eagle Pack, TOTW, Timberwolf Organics...and I'm sure there's some others in there I'm forgetting.
Anyways, my dogs are my kids, so I enjoy learning and reading about nutrition.
My first DDB is not longer with me, he passed away rather quickly at age three, but I still love the breed. I currently have 3 (Heathen, Fahren, and Tempyst) and a French bulldog - Graison, though technichally he lives with my mom and is for all intents and purposes her dog. I currently feed TOTW Sierra Mtn. It's not the best food out there, I know, but with 3 mastiffs its a bit more economical!
Anyways...I just wanted to say hello and I hope to learn a lot here.

Hello and welcome to DFC!!!
Hello and Welcome...I have a French Bulldog, Yogi.
Love to see pics!
Hi- welcome! Very cool to see another DDB lover on the forum. My dogue, Mateo, is almost 9 months old, and has been raw fed since I picked him up at 8.5 weeks (not sure if you are considering raw or not.) He's doing beautifully on this way of feeding, although I know what you mean about the economic aspect. He is currently eating around 2.5 pounds of meat/bones/organs per day; this will probably level off as his growth slows down a bit.
Best to you and your pack of Dogues-- would love to see some photos!
And this is a wonderful forum to learn and share...

Thanks for the welcomes everyone.
I'll try to post a few pics. NYD - you're boy is handsome. Mind if I ask where you got him? I think raw feeding is awesome, it just isn't for me at this time. Maybe someday in the future, but right now it just isn't an option.
My male is in my avatar. He'll be 5 next month and is full of mischief.
This is my female Tempyst...not the best photo of her. She's an import from Poland.

This is an older photo. Left is my "heart dog" Bentley at 2 years who passed away at age 3; Right it s my 8 year old female Fahren at age 2; and Middle is Tempyst at 4.5 months.

You have got some big, beautiful dogues! And I have a special fondness for French Bulldogs, too- lucky you to have both. :)
I got Mateo from The Vinyard Bordeauxs-- they are based in Michigan. His father is an import from England, and his mother is from Hungarian stock (Sire is International Ch. BAM-BAM Wielki Dunczyk).
I have been attracted to this breed for so long-- but it took awhile until I was able to be in a place to bring one into my life. Love, love, love this breed-- I can see why you have more than one! If I had property, that is what I could see myself doing...
Where are your dogues from?

I've heard of The Vinyard Bordeauxs...spoke to them once too when I was looking for a pup. They have some nice dogues.
I imported Tempyst from Wielki Dunczyk Kennel and she is from the same litter as Bam-Bam. The guy in my avatar is from Cabinwood Bordeaux in Indiana. His sire is the late Ultimo de Maison de Hollande who is by Temple Felson (also deceased), which is a dogue I really loved so I jumped at the chance to have a grand-son.
I fell in love with the breed after seeing Turner & Hooch - though at the time I didn't realize "Hooch" was a purebred dog. It wasn't until I saw an article in a magazine years later that I learned of the breed, so from then I set out to find a breeder because I just had to have one......and one led to two, which led to 3. They're addictive!
