    Default New Here!

Hello! I was recommended to join here by one of the members because I have a few questions. But before I go and start asking I thought I'd introduce myself and my dogs

I'm Lindsey and have 3 dogs. Zeus is my 2 year old throw away Great Pyrenees. I found him when he was about 6 months old. He was the size of a 3 month old. He was found out in east Texas, covered in fleas, ticks, and was a bag of bones. Due to malnourishment his growth was stunted. He is now a registered therapy dog and we often go on visits to local nursing homes.

Kingdom is my (almost) 3 year old Saint Bernard. He unfortunately came from a byb'er (had I known then what I know now I would have convinced my mom otherwise, but mistakes happen and lessons have been learned) he's one giant goofball and one loveable teddy bear! He's not our first Saint. We rescued our first one when he was 4 years old. He passed away when he was about 7 years old due to complications with his health.

Turgeon is a 9-10 year old Wire Hair Fox Terrier. We inherited him after my grandma passed away. My cousin's old teacher used to breed and show them. When she found out how hard of a time my grandma was dealing with the death of my grandpa she gave Turgeon to her. He helped her cope tremendously and she loved this dog so much!

I also have a 15 year old Arabian/Thoroughbred named Slim. He's a huge part of my life so I couldn't leave him out.

I know this thread is useless without pictures so here's a couple. :)

    And one of Slim.

Hello and Welcome...love the pics of your crew! I've always had a soft spot for the St Bernard and Great Pyrenees...our neighbor had both when I was growing up.

Beautiful dogs-- love them! And, I agree-- it's great to see a Saint Bernard in a full-out run; the few I have seen are rather slow...

Thanks! Kingdom is quite the active dog. He loves to run and play and run some more. Unfortunately for him he's limited to the amount of outside activity to mostly cooler months. Whereas most peoples dogs get more fit and active in the spring/summer, mine get active in the fall/winter. Once it starts getting warm out we have to back off on going out because he'll easily overheat. He is the first Saint I've been around who is not lazy. My last one would barely even break into a trot when we got him. For a big dog Kingdom isn't slow. He can definitely book it when he wants to.
