Hi there - so glad you adopted! Yellow labs are great - do you have photos?

There is a raw food forum here (meat only), BARF style raw (with veggies), and a dry/canned section. You can take your pick.

If you haven't heard of raw feeding, here's a site with great information - the link is to an intro.

Welcome and congratulations on your new pup! As someone said there are separate parts of the forum for different types of feeding, be it PMR, Barf, Kibble/canned, and some cooking. Ask questions and you will certainly get some suggestions about what may be good food options to consider. There is really a lot to be learned here about food if you are open minded and we also discuss health issues and other canine issues. Also, some folks are doing a 2013 calendar of DFC dogs so check out the polls and you'll get to see some pics of the dogs too!! We love pics by the way!!

to DFC and congratulations on the New addition. How wonderful of you to adopt, too!!

There are many different feeding options available to pet owners today, but the most natural and healthy diet that you can feed a canine is one that most closely resembles that of a carnivore in the wild which is a mixture of meat, bones, and organs. It can be somewhat overwhelming at first but really is quite simple, easy and even kind of fun!

Hello and welcome to the forum. Thank you for rescuing your dog. I have 4 and 3 of them are rescue dogs. This is a great place to find out about what to feed, so read and make up your mind as to what you want to feed.
