    Default Tornados!

We had multiple tornados tear thru raleigh today. No power (thank goodness for smart phones!) My chain link fence is demolished under at least 8 trees pulled up by the roots. Luckily none hit the house. Dogs are going crazy though! I need power!

We had a number of tornado warnings here in Bama Friday afternoon. We ended up sitting in the hallway by our bedrooms at one point. That is always scary enough, but its worse at night when you can't see anything outside.

I have power!!! We were only out of power for about 8-9 hours. My biggest worry was my poor fish dying from the lack of air bubblers and filters but they made it thru just fine. I've already talked to my insurance company ( they are so great!!) so we can start cleaning up some of the millions of branches that are all over the yard. Rocky is scared of it all and so far won't step off the deck. Shade has already found all the places where the fence is smashed so I have to really keep an eye on him.

They are reporting 34 people dead so far in our state so we were really lucky....especially since we saw the tornado go right over top of us!! It was very scary.

I'll try to upload a picture. They are now saying there was up to 8 tornado's that touched down. We don't usually get tornado's (just hurricanes!) so this was very scary. I won't have much woods left for the dogs to chase squirrels in.

Wow!!!!!!! I hope your doing ok and alls going better. Sounds so terrifying! Hope the dogs are doing good! Scary! I remember when we camped~years back~ when my kids were much younger and we were in tennesse and in this camper and a tornado was blowing through~ scariest thing ever~~ In a tin can and tornades ~not good~UGH! I really hope your doing ok and alls going better! All those trees horrible! The fence replaceable ~but still an expense. Just stressful. Praying for your area. So horrifying.
I've seen a look in dogs' eyes, a quickly vanishing look of amazed contempt, and I am convinced that basically dogs think humans are nuts.

Incredible. I would say your fence is pretty much wiped out - and sad to lose good trees. But at least everyone made it ok, including the fish. Thanks for the update.

Man, by the looks of the pictures were you lucky nothing fell on the house! Its a lot easier getting rid of downed trees than going through the rigmoral of repairing your house, so there is a bright side to it I guess. So glad you guys are all ok though, sure sounds like it was a real wild night.
