Pet owners are an emotional bunch. We have bigger hearts and lots of love.
We also receive lots of love from our pets.
My wife and I didn't have children, so our pets were our children.
They were truely loved and spoiled.
My wife died 2 years ago and now it is just me and my bestest friend Wilbur. He is 10 now.
We all have pets waiting for us at The Rainbow Bridge.
Sometimes I get emotional and think how beautiful and special that moment will be.
To be re-united with my wife and my dogs and 2 cats .
My dogs Rudy, Ralph, Otis, Rocco,,,,and my cats Frisky and Fluffy.. They are all waiting for me.
Do you ever think of that special moment to come at The Rainbow Bridge, never to be separated again..
It really brings joy and peace to my heart.. and sadness to live NOW without them..
Best to all
Ken and Wilbur

I'm sorry for your losses. You have my prayers.
Our pets give us so much more than we realize! I believe we get so much more from them than they give us. They are my emotional crutch!Love my animals!
Its hard to not think about ever seeing your lost loved ones or pets again. They are so close to your heart and you never do get quiet over that transition they have made, of them not being here physically , and then you get to meet up with them when its your time. I do believe in all my heart that YES you do meet up with your loved ones your pets all in good time. Its just one of those things you put in the very back of your mind. Until the time comes that you meet again.
Tearing up a bit after your very thoughtful and special read. Your very kind to remind us of our beloved ones who have gone before us. Thank you for that!

I've seen a look in dogs' eyes, a quickly vanishing look of amazed contempt, and I am convinced that basically dogs think humans are nuts.
People may forget what you said, and people may forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel......

Ken, you know, you worry me a bit sometimes.
To answer your question, I have a fair few family, friends and 2 special special dogs waiting for me too. But, I consciously can't think about it or I'd feel like topping myself. I live with someone who has a condition where he could die at any second. I've learnt to live for each day and enjoy every second - he spends his time thinking about how lousy life is (which, is understandable for someone in that position).
I really feel for you, you've gone through a terrible time the last couple of years and having bad health yourself is just the icing on the cake. Give Wilbur a big hug, he sounds like he's your angel, and, thank you for your post. Sometimes we need to stop and remind ourselves of what it would be like if we did not have the special people and animals in our lives.
Do you have family or friends who could help you walk Wilbur?
