ok so i was trying to get a photo of my dog to use as an avitar on this site. i have a pretty new camera so im not used to it. the lighting in my room wasnt great. so i lightly pressed the picture click button(dont know what its called) and i see a bright laser red light shine into my dogs eyes. i thought it was my imagination and did it a few more times for a few seconds each time trying to get the light right.
then i checked it out myself and there was in fact a BRIGHT red light..that after looking into it barely..it caused me to see spots... how do i check my dogs eyes to make sure ididnt hurt him? i know dogs use their noses so if i put food down..he might sniff it.
i feel so horribly... im such a horrible person... this lasar was a sharp bright light i couldn't look it straight on.
Don't beat yourself up...I'm sure he's fine. They can't put something on a camera that's going to blind someone. He probably saw spots like you for a while though.
If he really was blind, you'd know it. He'd be bumping into things and just overall acting differently. It's more difficult to tell if you impaired his vision for a period of time, but I'm sure it's only temporary like I said.![]()

I mean more like a few minutes...like when a flash or a laser shines into your eyes.
I highly doubt it...like I said, I'm sure he's fine.
There probably are...I'm sure there is some machine for dogs out there that can check the retina and such. I really don't think that all that is necessary though. Just watch him, call him across the room, etc. You'll see that he's ok.![]()
