Default my take on these movies shutter island and The Crazies!

Ok went and saw them both!
Shutter island director Martin Sorcese (sp?) Leonardo DeCaprio detective Ben Kinglsey Doctor. Setting the mental institution. I am not going to give anything away on this movie. I like suspenseful movies like the sixth sense things that are done well by good directors that have a bit of depth to the flick! Ok well this movie was good! It was though one of the most predictable movies after 20 minutes I would say gee 1/2 hour you pretty much start top get what the heck's going on. The ending line in the movie very important! My take heck if you have nothing better to do go see it. Was it as intriguing as the trailor hmmmm not as intriguing as I wanted it to be! So its even a good renter with a bowl of popcorn. Yes I do know what the whole plot of the movie was and I got it very quickly! I just thought it could have been done a bit better than what I expected! But if your not doing anything go see it. gee a thumbs up for the acting but the story if you watch enough of these type films you will get it very quickly! I just cant give the story away! haha!

The crazies! Whew now this was just hmmm a thumbs down for me! Its a remake of the 73 version but not that good at all I felt! Maybe scary for a teen crowd but heck I am way out of the teen range! Well anyway, its about an airplane crashing in the water of a small town and the Plane happens to be a government plane with biological weaponry transported. so the water gets infected making the people within a 48 hour time frame hmmmm go crazy after drinking the water from their taps! There are unanswered questions though with this film. When the biological substance was talked of it was said they were using it for an area to destabilize people hmmm so why are people turning into zombie like creatures then dieing? no sense there! Destabilize and die different! Well the film goes on and on with a few folk trying to get away from the infected folk. There were bloody moments and just some silly things like this one part where a couple of infected people just knew to be in a certain room at a certain time to try to kill two certain people now how did they know to be there at that precise moment? If you have seen the movie you will know what I am talking about (the baby's bedroom where the PG mom and then the soon to be dad enter) I just cant figure how those two infected ones know to be in that room! Oh well my take on this one rent do not bother going but then again I went haha! So if your game and want to do something because your bored then go see it and let me know your take on it!

Ok so I would see Shutter Island and not The Crazies. Just my thoughts on these two flicks!

thanks, I might go see shutter island, Leonardo Dicaprio usually does not dissapoint.

Crazies.. eh, looks stupid, probably is, it seems like everyone is coming out with zombie movies now.

Alice in Wonderland Very Tim Burtonish haha! And woohoo Johnny Depp even as the Mad Hatter cannot be bad! His magazine photos are adorning my fridge! And my sister in law saw him live when he was here and I have those photos and my son actually talked to him and shook his hand! My son is a part owner in a restaurant and actually delivered food to him! I was bummed because I was like gee I will deliver food to Johnny Depp! He's not bad on the eyes at all haha! I want to see this one also!

We saw Shutter Island and thought it was... OK

The music almost felt forced at times. It became more annoying than anything else. I know it was meant to add suspense but I just wanted it to stop

    Definitely a nice plot twist

Would I see it again? Maybe.... I certainly wouldn't pay to see it again and doubt I'll rent it (or download it) when it's released on DVD/Blu-ray.

Now call me crazy but I'd STILL pay to see Avatar again (after seeing it 3 times already)

I can't wait for Alice. I LOVE Tim Burton's movies and Alice looks like it definitely won't disappoint

Im laughing about the music as you described it haha! Your total right on with that one! The plot twist was good but then you could figure it out in the first hmmm 20 even if it took 30 minutes probably! Just was very predictable and when you figured it out and were right it was a gasp like oh no I knew it! Then the end sentence was well there you go! But I still like thrillers ha! Alice is a definet yes!

well darnit! My brothers are taking me to a movie for my birthday and Shutter Island is getting such great reviews I really want to see it! My other possibilities were Avatar (if it's still out after this week), The Wolfman, and Alice. Alice looks so over the top I'm not sure if I'll like it. And I'm getting kinda bored with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter in every movie being Tim Burton weirdos together. I'm also worried it will be more like the Mad Hatter in Wonderland. He tends to be the main focus of most movies he's in.
