Hey...just letting everyone know that I'm not dead, just on vacation visiting my family in Rhode Island.

You know...since I'm so popular here, didn't want anyone to worry. haha Actually just had some freetime to drop a line, but not enough to catch up on all my favorite threads.

Anyway, I'll be back on Wednesday after an awesome 23 hour drive back to Florida. YAY!!! Wish me luck!

Road trip!!!! Fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can remember once driving from Illinois to Texas!!!!!!!!!!!! Whew so funny I drove one car my hubby another car. My left arm was sunburned from having it out the window while driving! Horrible haha! We went there for a 6 month stay because of my hubbys job! TOO TOO long of a road trip!!!!!!!!!!

danemama08: I know, I should've known better. I thought about it too, but I talked myself out of it thinking who would want to hear about little ol' Rhode Island. lol

Long and short of it....
My boyfriend and I left last Tuesday morning heading to RI. We stopped off near Richmond, Virgina for the halfway point. (actually it was more than half, but just go with it lol) Then, the second day, we stopped off in D.C. to check out some of the sights. We saw the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument, but the best thing was getting to WALK on the reflecting pool. It was so cold that it had frozen over enough to walk on!!! Got some good pictures there. After that we hopped back in he car to finish our journey. Hit some traffic in D.C., but thankfully we left there late enough to miss all the New York traffic on I-95. (I'm sure some of you know what fun that is)
As for what we've done while in R.I......I've seen some family that was much overdue for a visit. (I moved to Florida about 2 years ago and have only had the chance to go home once before this) We took a trip up to New Hampshire and attempted to hike a mountain. It would have been totally possible, but I was feeling under the weather that day. Still do a little. Nothing like getting sick on your vacation. I had to call it quits after about halfway up. That made me quite sad. lol Ummm....since then I think the only other thing worth mentioning was a trip to Newport, R.I. I love that place. My family used to take me there every summer...you know, the whole "Well, it's about an hour away. That's far enough for a vacation." vacation. lol Either way, I love it there.
Anyway, I'm sure I've bored all of you with enough of my ranting. Now, time to rest, and get ready for the 2 day drive starting tomorrow, then back to the daily grind.
