I've seen a look in dogs' eyes, a quickly vanishing look of amazed contempt, and I am convinced that basically dogs think humans are nuts.
People may forget what you said, and people may forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel......

Looks like they have plenty of the Dysons this time, it's been on there since early this morning.
I have no budget for a new vacuum right now but I'm going to wait and get a larger dyson probably. I spend about $70-100 every couple years on a new cheapy vacuum, so why not invest in a good one that will last a long time?
I have a Kirby. I'm a Kirby person. They're heavy, the attachments are a pain to put on, but boy do they work nicely. I hardly ever vacuum (bad habit that I REALLY need to fix), so when I do, it's nice to know I have a vacuum that's going to suck ALL of it up, and it really does. Not only that, but it can be turned into a carpet cleaner as well, again, big pain in the BUTT, but convenient. And when the bag gets full, I just dig my hands in and empty it. Who wants to spend $30 on a pack of three bags when the darned things can be reused a couple of times? (Cheap much?)
Kirbys also last a LOOOOONG time. I was using my mum's old Kirby before my friend got into the vacuum selling business (for about a week) and I bought a new one from her. Mum's old Kirby had been around for as long as I could remember, which would be about fifteen years or more, and still did a heck of a good job with sucking up every little thing.
All in all, though, once my hubby and I save up the money, we're going to put in hardwood floors or tile. Sweeping and mopping sound like a lot less trouble to me.

^^^ I was raised a Kirby girl...but I will never go back after owning a Dyson. They are THAT good at sucking![]()

I LOVE Kirby! I even sold them about 10 years ago
I'm a Dyson convert though. They're simply AWESOME for the price. If a Dyson cost the same as a Kirby I'd wager (A LOT) that it'd beat the Kirby hands down... might even make that wager now![]()

haha. I might just have to switch to a Dyson when I get rid of my Kirby, but who knows how long that will be, considering how long my mum had hers! hahaha.

This is exactly what I use. I have killed far too many vacuum cleaners but realized, while not "light weight" and "easy to manuever", the shop vac picks up anything and everything and I haven't killed it yet. I don't have to go over the same spot 20 times trying to get the pet hair. For furniture, I use that rubber grooming brush, (furminator or whatever is kind of the same thing), and when I get a huge clump, I throw it on the floor and suck it up with the vacuum. I feel superior when I do that. It's the little things.
Again, not all fancy like those other vacs but it cost me about $50 and I don't have to keep rebuying vacuums.
I am in absolute love with my Dyson Animal!
I have only Kofi, and she is short hair with minimal shedding.
Here is my Dyson story:
I had my house for sale, wood floors with large area rugs. I was using an Oreck. The realtors were all telling me that I had a dog odor in my house. I was mortified! No way! I called in neighbors and friends who all told me they detected no animal odor. I then did all the recommended things, to no avail. Real estate people would tell occasional tales of dog odor when stepping through the door.
I had read raves about the Dyson on my bulldog site. Then a friend who cleans sold me on getting one.
I brought it home, vacuumed the carpet that had been freshly done by my Oreck.
UNBELIEVABLE! The dog hairs and doggie sluff that filled the vacuum was a real surprise to me.
After about a week, I never heard that complaint again.
I think the Dyson was one of the best purchases that I ever made.
Hope this helps. After seeing the results, my grandkids got one too, and they don't have a dog. But that baby crawl on clean floors.
