Default change of career plans :)

    I'm so happy right now!!!

I quit my economics study and will start a study as dog behaviour counsellor!
The study is in the switzerland, but i can do most of it from home, the theoretical stuff of course.

I already applied for 10 seminars this year and i have two trainers who will work with me, or rather let me work with them . The one trainer i know very well and i know that she only uses positive reinforcement and she trains hunting dogs. The other trainer i do not know that well but i will see if her way of training fits my beliefs.

I already talked to my lokal shelter and 2 days a week i will take different dogs for a walk, to get to know and get to work with as many different dogs as possible. A friend of mine know the owner of the shelter and after some time i might get to really work with the dogs there and not just take them for walks.

I have postet some pics of a Weim X GSP who belongs to a friend. He has a VERY HIGH Prey drive and she is more than happy if i "borrow" her dog for training and walks (she hardly ever walks him, he's in their garden most of the time :/)

I cannot tell you how happy i am with my choice. I had to force my self to everything in my economics study. I would have finished the study if there was the possibility to do the job I LOVE with this study, but there wasn't. I was so afraid of telling my parents, but they were so understanding and i have their full support (also financially). They also think i have made the right choice.

I will work 15-20 hours in our restaurant to earn some extra cash during the study.

Next year, i would love to make an internship or something like this abroad. NYC would be my dream :D but anywhere else would be fine, so if you know any good trainers there, tell so i can contact them :D.

It is such a relief to finally do what i love, and i know that this is the right choice for me. I am so excited next week they send me the first chapter to study.

Ijust had to share with you guys :D
