it all depends on what you like.
my lunches are always the same - sandwich (made of 2 slices of whole wheat bread, mozzarella cheese, lean turkey) and salad (kale, carrots, tomatoes, mushrooms, and olive oil).
I hate salads with a passion but in my career path I can't very well tell people to eat them if I don't do so myself ;)
leftovers are great if you have a microwave, but if not then they aren't such a great idea.
does you school not have a student area with a microwave?
as for snacks, I totally agree with the almonds. pistachios are also great if you like them (high in K)
carrots also make great snacks, along with low-fat popcorn (my choice).
I usually keep a thing of granola in my car for me to snack on if I get stuck somewhere, so that's a great one too.
dried fruit (careful of the sweeteners) is great, and so are bananas if you like them (I like them with peanut butter personally).
hmm...I think that is all for now. if I think of anything else I'll let you know ;)
I love cooking light magazine! Gives you tons of good things to eat! I also like the lower calorie bread the 35 or 40 high fiber ones are good fill you up more! And I love tuna with fat free cream cheese and celery for crunch in it and opinion mmmm so good! Another great sight to look at is hungry girl they have some great ideas! But fruit. veggies, a nice water ,or crystal light, a good sandwich & for a treat those fruit gummy things that are fat free they are pretty tasty! or heck bring leftovers from the day before! My mouths watering right now haha!
I've seen a look in dogs' eyes, a quickly vanishing look of amazed contempt, and I am convinced that basically dogs think humans are nuts.
People may forget what you said, and people may forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel......

My FAVORITE Sandwich. And healthy too. But you gotta like Tuna.
Whole Wheat Bread.
Tuna mixed with relish, low fat Olive Oil mayonaise, mustard.
top with some greens, preferably Spinach.
Slice up a hard boiled egg add to sandwich.
Add a slice of cheese if you like cheese.
This is a protein power packed sandwich. My personal fav. Cheap, healthy, and in my opinion pretty excellent ;)
Another awesome snack on the go--some of the new flavors of Almonds that Blue Diamond came out with. I can't eat plain almonds--just too bland. they now make a Dark Chocolate flavored almond that is excellent.

I pack a salad every day and get creative with the "theme" for each salad. Since you're bringing an ice pack, pita chips and hummus are a great snack too. Filling and healthy! Throw in some apple slices, a granola bar, etc.

I had a few days last semester that I was in school all day and had about two hours at lunch time to kill. I would pack things like hard boiled eggs, tuna salad, crackers, apple slices, fruit dip, grapes, walnuts, etc....all in little containers in my lunch box (purple of course!). Then I'd sit in the car and turn on my songs and spread out a little picnic with just me and my tunes. Taking the time to spread the tuna on the crackers and dip the fruit and vegies in the dip and eat slowly while I 'people watched' made lunch more enjoyable and actually made me get full faster. A lot of time I couldn't even finish what I had packed and I'd save it for snacks, later. Sometimes I could squeeze in a 15 minute car nap before the next class. I think the location of lunch was as important as what I was eating. When I sat in our main lunch area with everyone else and all the noise and commotion, it was a much more rushed, unsatisfying affair.

Pretty much every day for lunch I have a Danon light n fit yogurt (sometimes with walnuts), a string cheese, a banana, an apple, and a kashi cereal bar. Pretty healthy, cheap, and easy to pack!
An ounce of nutrition is worth a pound of vet bills.
For sandwiches, I like to use Sandwich Thins or Alternative Bagels to change things up.
Since protein is satisfy, I like string cheese and precut packaged cheese snacks.
One of my favorites for lunch is a half tin of tuna mixed with mayo (not drowned in it), 2 slices of Ryvita (hard rye bread, not sure if you guys have that exact brand in the states), and 3 slices of cheddar cheese (my personal favorite is medium). Spread the tuna on the ryvita slices, takes bites of the cheese in between, mmmm, yummy, almost as good as a tuna meltGenerally I'll take a baggie of carrot sticks too, or salad.
A favorite snack of mine is almonds and dried apricots, stored in seperate bags so the almonds stay nice and hard but eat them together, very satisfying.

Thanks for the suggestions everyoneSo far I've been pretty "boring" with my lunches, but they are yummy so I don't mind. Maybe next week I'll venture into newer things, lol.
Yesterday I brought a PB&J sandwich, sunchips and pudding. Water too... I feel like I drink so much less when I'm at school.
Tomorrow I'm bring a PB&Banana sandwich, some grapes, some pineapple and 1 string cheese. I just made my sandwich and I'm now super excited for lunch tomorrow because I love PB&B![]()

I mostly eat food in its raw state but not always. I occasionally crave a great PBJ too...so, I do it as healthy as I know.
