    Default For those camera people...

I have some questions. I currently have the canon rebel xsi and will eventually (like the very distant future) want to upgrade to a professional grade camera. What would you suggest? I was thinking about sticking with canon because I have a couple of lenses that I'd like to be able to keep using...but I really do like nikons too.

Also what are your favorite must haves with your camera? Specifically what lenses do you guys love as well flash attachments...

With my current canon I have the kit lens that came with it, a 50mm f1.8 and 28-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS...

    I have a Sony A390 with a 75-300mm lens, 50mm f/1.8, and the standard 18-55mm lens. I also have a HVL-F42AM wireless flash which I love!

We have the Nikon D3100 and couldn't be happier with it. How much are you looking at spending?

I have the nikon d5100 which came with 18-55 and 55-300 lenses, plus I bought a 35mm f1.8 prime lens and (upon jon's recommendation) the sb400 flash which has been awesome for indoors.

The only thing I dislike about the d5100 is it has no auto focus motor, so the lenses I buy must have an unbuilt focus motor or I'll have to manually focus every shot (only annoys me because now I want a 10.5mm f1.4 prime but it's got no focus motor, drats!!)

I have a Canon T1i and love it. My main lenses that I use are the 50mm f/1.8 and the 70-200mm f/4. I use the 70-200 mainly for action shots, and the 50mm for portrait type stuff.

I actually don't have a flash yet. I mostly do outdoor photography, so haven't felt the need to get one yet.

Damn, now I want new glass! I'm torn between the 50mm or 35mm though...

I've done well with our kit lenses (18-55 and 55-200) but know we can get even better shots adding a prime lens... hmm....

My hubby and I just bit the bullet and ordered a canon 60D. I have a rebel xt and am ready for the next step. Right now I have the kit lens 18-55mm and EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 USM. Since we're dishing out a little extra for the 60D body I'll have to wait to get more lenses. I'm also eyeing the 50mm prime lens....that's the next item on the list

I have a Canon Rebel XS with the kit lens and 75-300mm. I'm planning on getting the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 ll soon as well, which will be SO nice! Especially for hikes, that way I don't have to lug the zoom lens everywhere with me (which can get heavy, lol!)

    Thanks everyone!

Jon I am not exactly looking for a specific price range as I am not planning anytime soon, I just want to know what I should be saving for. I want something that is more professional grade but still user friendly.
