I moved to Newfoundland a little over a year ago. I don't live in Twillingate but its only a couple hours drive from where I do live.
It normally is a very peaceful place, a great spot to see whales, birds and icebergs.

Man that reminds me of home. Everything except the icebergs of course, never seen one of those! I love that wind, the sea, the coves and the remoteness, just love it. You are so lucky, I'd live there in a second (except for the cold of course). Man, that water temp must be frigid. I read up on it a bit and the icebergs actually come across from Greenland via the Labrador current in summer, May/June/July. The wind chill factor must cut you to the bone. Well, that's definitely one place I need to visit before I die.

My first impression is just "refreshing!" Wow- and those wind currents... Not surprising that those big water-loving Newfoundland Dogs hail from there.
