My guys are little so it isn't as distressing, But Tuffy (the black one) would fairly regularly "correct" Toby in their younger years. It's been a few years now .. although they were loose during the day, so I figure they must have worked things out at times, when we weren't around.

Yes we have one about every day now. This has just started mostly at feeding time Maddie will now attack someone. I am usually getting the food ready so I don't see the start of it but the other morning Larry saw her run at poor Turtle as she was just sitting there in the kitchen and attack her. Most the time I just have to yell and they will quit. Last night she attacked Richter and he just laid there and put his head down and let her bit his face. Of course I stopped it but she is such a bitch anymore can't wait to be fed. Richter is the only one that won't fight back.

I have never had any blood so I guess she doesn't bit to hard. Except the Schwan Man she put a hole in his pants. I can't seem to stop her from being to protective. She's sort of a pain in the butt. Luckily we don't have much company.

I have 8 spayed female dogs and mine never fight so I guess I'm lucky. My old girl has always been the dominant dog and I've always allowed her to rule the roost with the others because it works. All she's ever had to do was go and stand next to any of the other dogs and even if it takes a few minutes they'll give up whatever they have and walk away from it. She doesn't even growl, just uses her body language and they get the hint. I agree with Liz in that you should allow Minnie to be the top dog if that's the dynamics they're comfortable with.
Maybe you correcting Minnie and giving the antler back was sending the signal to Maya that she can challenge Minnie? Who knows...
I've found that as long as you have a chief and the rest are okay with being followers things generally work out. I hope your girls stay besties though because it makes for a very happy home when they are.
And btw, we would all appreciate some more pictures of your gorgeous girls please...

Raw fed since spring of 2011!

I'm new here so not sure how much I can contribute but I do have 3 dogs. I have noticed more of the jostling for authority lately which I think is because the "leader" is 15 years old and getting frail so the other two are trying to see who will be the new leader of the pack. A water bottle is good to have on hand to break them up if they start to get too rough. Generally they all get together real well but they do have their occasional heated shuffle with each other as one other mentioned is common when there is more than one dog.
