We brought Shadow home Saturday. He's so adorable and has taken to raw like he was weaned on it. I have started him on some chicken necks, and he takes them and my fingers to! LOL! The breeder was feeding Purina, so I think he was really craving some "real" food. As a matter of fact, after some feeding discussion I think his breeder is going to switch to raw! She asked tons of questions, and I wrote down the preymodelraw site for her. I told her if she does decide to switch, to call me with any questions and I will gladly help her. And if I don't know the answer, I will find it for her. So, fingers crossed on that!
A quick question on feeding Shadow. I am thawing chicken drumsticks for him now, seeing as how the necks have gone so well. They are more like a snack to him. I know he's not ready for a protein change yet, but quality fish isn't something we have here. All we have is catfish and talapia. I'm guessing its from the Purina, but his coat feels sort of dry and being cold outside and dry heat indoors I'm afraid he will get itchy with dry skin. So, would it be ok to give him one of the omega supplements the others get? Maybe one twice a week? His poops have been perfect so far, but its only been since Saturday.

I see no issue with giving him an omega supplement. Just keep an eye on his BMs but I'm sure he will be fine.A quick question on feeding Shadow. Yep, I HAVE to get our camera/computer/picture problem solved. Today is a call to Best Buy for some advice for possible equipment we may be missing.
I tell you what, This is our first Christmas with a cat in the house and the tree was quite an issue. I think we have stopped Smokey from climbing to the top, now is Shadow. I know I have wrapped all of Kirby's presents three times each! Its like never ending wrapping! I have never looked so forward to Christmas day in my life! LOL!!
Thanks Natalie, I will give him one a couple times a week and like you said, I will keep an eye on the poop.
