Default Dry vs Canned Dog food for weight loss?

Hi, I have always fed my 6yo Catahoula dry dog food. After the long MA winter and rainy spring/summer we've had, he has put on some weight. I just switched him to Wellness Core Reduced Fat dry dog food, but he doesn't seem to be that happy on it. He basically only eats it once he gets really hungry. I'm thinking about adding in a little canned dog food to make it taste better, but does that defeat the purpose of the reduced-fat food? Anyone know of a great tasting low-fat dry food?

    Thanks!

You can always try the Innova Evo Reduced Fat, and if you're going to add canned food to it, you should just reduce the amount of kibble you're feeding with it. That way it doesn't add extra calories and fat.
An ounce of nutrition is worth a pound of vet bills.
