    Default Timberwolf Organics??

Just wondering if anyone has ever fed this food before? If so, did you like the results you got? Here's their website Timberwolf Organics

I used to feed it many years ago, but at that time I could only order it online through their website, and having food shipped to my house became somewhat inconvenient. I'm thinking about trying it again.

Even if you haven't fed it...what do you think of it ingredient wise? (Specifically the Ocean Blue and Lamb & Barley varieties)

I don't know if my male is having some allergy issues or if it's something behavioral, but he's been licking his paws in evening, pretty much only when we go to bed. Sometimes he will do it before bed, but the evenings is the only time I notice it. He will occasionally "lick the air" as I call it. He did it for maybe a minute this afternoon - it's almost like he get's a hair on his tongue or something and can't get it off? I don't know how else to describe it. Kinda wierd. He doesn't itch his body at all and has a shiny coat, but he does have tear stains.

I fed Timberwolf Organics (Wilderness formula) for a few months about 4 1/2 yrs. ago. My dogs did quite well with it. Since that time, the formulas have changed a fair amount.

I quit when they seemed to have some quality control issues and weren't forthcoming with information about where they manufactured the food.

Some of the ingredients in the two formulas you mentioned are quite unique from any other kibbles I'm familiar with. I see: fig, basil, lemon balm, sesame seed, walnut oil, etc. Not sure what I think about that. I do like the guaranteed analysis of both formulas. If it's available to you, why not give it a go and let us know.

I fed it long time ago when it was still decent, but they changed the formula by reducing the meat and increasing prices so its really not worth it anymore.

I remember hearing something about this..but I think this happened after I stopped feeding it.

I didn't feed it very long as having to have it shipped was very inconvenient. I just wondered why I hadn't seen anyone really mention it, since I had thought it was a pretty decent food - at least when I fed it.

What would trigger this behavior? Anxiety? He's not a nervous or anxious dog.

I don't think it is allergies because 99% of the time it only happens when we go to bed. He sleeps at the foot of the bed and starts doing it when we first go to bed. If I tell him to quit or just barely nudge him with my foot he stops.

Perhaps he is just trying to relax himself before he goes to bed, kind of like how babies hold on to something and rock themselves. This doesn't sound like an allergy at all.

Unless there is any evidence of a granuloma I would just say "shhhh" or "stop".
    Lol ..yes, he's a little spoiled .

Thanks for your response - he has no missing hair, hot spots, granulomas etc from the licking. It isn't something he does for very long, and when I tell him to stop he does.
