So, some people would say I spend way to much time thinking about what I feed my dog but I know you guys will understand. I'm currently rotating between TOTW Pacific Stream, TOTW Wetlands and NB Sweet Potato and Vension. I'm pretty sure he's allergic to grains (thought it was chicken at first) so I stick to grain free. He does extremely well on all of these. My question is for the NB (since this is his first go around with this food): Should I add the canned version of NB to his kibble since it's only 20% protein? The Wetlands has 32% which I just transitioned him from and Pacific Stream has 25%. And if I add canned to just the NB, do you think he will be a picky eater once I transition him back to TOTW kibble only?
Sorry for the rambling but I've been going around with this for weeks and thought I should ask!![]()
I wouldn't worry about the protein level.
There's no way for anyone here to know whether your dog will develop into a picky eater.

Ditto what Jack Monzon says...I would not worry about changing protein levels. The variety/rotation is good. As said we can't predict if your dog will become picky after having the NB with canned added. However if you deal with the foods very matter of factly and don't cave in to the dog if you get the "hairy eyeball" when you present the TOTW formulas without canned then you should be okay. It may take a meal or two for your dog to realize...."hmmmm, not gonna get canned on top of this...but I'm hungry so I better eat this." A lot of picky eaters develop because we cave in to them in the first place. Then before you know it you'll be adding canned to all of it, not that this is ultimately bad, but if you don't want to do that, then don't. Just my two cents worth. I have succumbed to a picky eater and learned this the hard way, try really hard to not cave in!!!!

Personally, I'd be inclined to give him a bit of canned meat on all his kibble, it's good because of the real meat in it and the moisture. But, if you don't want to, and he refuses to eat kibble only, I'd just go by the motto that, if he's hungry he'll eat. You are offering food and he chooses not to eat it, that's his problem! Unless of course there's something medically involved, then that's a whole different story.

Well, I'm happy to say that this was the easiet transition by far! It only took a little over a week to transition him to the NB Sweet Potato and Vension. He LOVES it and his poops are nice (which is always a huge plus for me -) I haven't added any canned so I don't think I'm going to rock the boat at this point. Thanks guys!
