I would suggest Taste of the Wild for that price range(at least thats what I can get it for!) Also look at Canadae's grain free.

But I like TotW, as half of their lines contain no chicken(Sierra Mountain and Pacific Stream), so with dogs who are sensitive to it you can avoid it without having to find a totally new brand...and if your dogs are fine on it then you have 4 flavors that you can rotate!

You can check the price of taste of the wild in the area, its usually cheaper at petstores, but on average its about $43-45 for 30 lbs. Since they have 4 different varieties, you can rotate to keep your dog from getting bored.

Couple other affordable grain free brands are Earthborn holistic and Nutrisouce, both are around $40 for a large bag

I have my GSD and border collie on Fromm and I like it very much. They have been on it since just before Thanksgiving and are doing fantasic. No loose stool, great coats, no itching and for once, my very picky GSD cleans her bowl. This has been the only kibble she has done that with. We are using the duck and sweet potatoe right now.
