can dogs eat salmon and other fish?
Absolutely. The only thing you worry about with salmon is "salmon poisoning disease" which is only carried in salmon from the pacific northwest. So if you feed salmon coming from this area you have to freeze the fish for a good few weeks to get rid of the parasite that harbors the bacteria that causes the disease. After the fish has been frozen for a few weeks it's perfectly safe to feed. We feed raw salmon on occasion as well as other raw fish on a regular basis.

Fish is a GREAT source of omegas. I feed my dogs fish at least once a week, sometimes twice. As Natalie already pointed out, there are some concerns with wild caught Salmon (unless you're spending big bucks, chances are you're buying farmed salmon anyway) but our dogs love whole talapia, bass, and sardines.
