    Default Need good training treats

I use tons! We train for about 45 minutes to a hour daily. We started out at 5 minutes and worked up from there. My current treats I think are fine. But I wanted to know if you guys would recommend anything. Must be small and not crumble. Something she can eat a lot of. I don't mind cooking. She loved the pumpkin cookies I made. I didn't like them personal because they didn't have any sugar. But she goes crazy for them. However, they are really soft :(.

I use the natural balance rolls. They aren't ideal-there are some ingredients I am not thrilled with. Still, they are fairly inexpensive and go a long way.

i use baby carrots that i chop up. they work great and since i make them small he doesn't have issues with digesting them i never see them come back out the other end.

i use chicken or red meat. I chop it really small and freeze it on a plate so it doesn't freeze together. then put it in a sandwich bag. they love it. i tried cooking it but they like it raw.

I use dehydrated body parts too. Right now I'm using Bravo turkey training treats. Just the right size and I'd say its medium value treatwise.

I use natural balance chubs too...they last a long time and they're easy to break up into tiny bits. Hotdogs, cheese, dehydrated meats, high quality treats like ziwipeak, even sample packs of high quality kibbles, zukes, etc.

What about zukes? I brought 4 packs of those the other day. Been looking at the natural balance as well. I will look into dehydrated meat later.

I already mentioned zukes above. They're great! Even their "training" sized treats I cut up into 4 pieces....thats how small training treats need to be.

I missed the ending. I don't know why. But yea you did recommend it. I hand break mines before feeding it to her. Just break it apart a few times first.

I tried cutting them all up before but I notice they dry out fast if exposed to air. The next day the treats felt stale.
