Good Books?

So I have these two treat cook books for dogs, but I'm not so sure about the ingredients. One of the books is from 3 dog bakery, and several of the recipes call for raisins? I thought those were some how bad? A lot of the dog treat recipes I see also call for some kind of nut? You guys have any advise on decent books/anthers to look for as far as cooking for your dog? Right now I'd like to start by making home made treats. Cooking full time interests me too but I'm not ready for that yet.
