We were surprised to find 3 different kinds of wheat in this dog food. Brewers Dried Yeast is another very poor ingredient in dog food. If these 4 ingredients were not in this food, we would rate this dog food higher. We do not like seeing salt in a dogs diet.

Chicken meal is a good source of meat.
Whole wheat flour can cause allergies in some dogs. It also has been linked to skin, coat, ear and eye issues in other dogs.
Ground rice is a medium grade grain.
Lamb meal is a good meat for dogs.
Chicken fat dogs need some fat in their diet and this is a decent grade of fat.

I’ve been feeding my dogs the Original formula and this food is just amazing! I used to feed my dogs the old Kennel Biscuit back in the 70′s, but the brand was sold out has not been available for years. Flint River reminds me so much of that old food, but it’s even better.
My dogs look fantastic on it and I haven’t had the problems with diahrrea that I’ve had with some other foods. I add fresh meat and warm water to it and my dogs are just thriving. I like to have the vet do a full blood panel on each dog when they get their yearly physical and they are coming back perfect..better than they have on any food I’ve used in 30 years.
I think its a great food and I feel good about it because it does not have all of the junk in it that other foods have like preservatives, filler, gluten, animal digest and so on. Just a good wholesome food.
I didn’t think I’d like ordering it, but it’s turned out great. I get the food within 5 days. I order mine from the “A plus Flint River Ranch” website and have had no problems at all. I recommend this food to friends and only wish I’d discovered it sooner.
I tried the Jubilee Wafers recently and they are good quality too. Everything just smells so fresh. I think the human grade ingredients and baking make all the difference.
