While chicken fat might not sound healthy or appetizing to humans, it’s actually a quality ingredient in dog food. Chicken fat is rich in an omega-6 fatty acid known as linoleic acid, which is essential for your dog.

Whitefish meal can be a controversial ingredient due to inclusion of ethoxyquin. However, this particular whitefish meal is completely ethoxyquin-free and is a good source of protein.

Earthborn Primitive has been one of the main dry foods I feed to our 5 dogs. It is excellent. They love the taste, the size is perfect also. Our pack has firm, small stools, so I know they are getting enough nutrition from this brand of dry food. I mix 2 kinds of dry together, but Earthborn is always on the menu. I also mix canned along with dehydrated raw patties from different companies so they get enough moisture in their diet. They are very healthy, happy, energetic dogs and I believe that is due to the above average nutrition available to them.
