Eagle Pack Large and Giant Breed Puppy Dog Food Review

The first thing we are going to look at are the first five ingredients. The first five ingredients are going to be the ingredients with the most content. When reviewing dog food brands you want to also figure out where the first fat content is. Most likely ingredients after the first fat content weigh significantly lower than the ones before.

First Five Ingredients:

First Five Ingredients of Eagle Pack Large and Giant Breed Puppy Dog Food:

  1. Lamb Meal
  2. Ground Brown Rice
  3. Ground White Rice
  4. Chicken Meal
  5. Dried Beet Pulp

The first ingredient Lamb Meal is a named meat product. Dogs need a diet that is based off of meat. The protein that comes from the meat will help your dog grow and provide much needed energy.

The second and third ingredients are both rice ingredients. If we were to combine these ingredients they would probably outweigh the meat content. We cannot say this for certain, since we don’t know what each ingredient weighs.

Chicken Meal is the fourth ingredient and is also a named meat ingredient. This ingredient is going to add the needed meat content and provide the additional meat protein.

The fifth ingredient is Beet Pulp and is a controversial ingredient. It is claimed by some to cause allergies and ear infections.
