AvoDerm is manufactured and produced by Breeders Choice Pet Foods. AvoDerm Natural Chicken Meal and Brown Rice Puppy and Adult Food can be found in 4.4lb, 17.5lb and 30lb bags. AvoDerm claims that avocados provide your dogs skin and coat with quality nutrients. Others claim this to be toxic to dogs. We believe that there are better ingredients to use if you are worried about your dogs coat and skin.

The only source of quality meat and protein comes from the first ingredient, Chicken Meal. Most premium brands of dog food will have at least 2-3 named meat sources in the first five ingredients. We consider this formulas very light on meat content.
The second and third ingredients (Ground Whole Brown Rice,Ground Whole Rice) are both rice. If we were to combine the total weight of these two ingredients it would probably outweigh the first ingredient, Chicken Meal, thus making rice the first true ingredient.
Rice bran is a Filler and Grain Fragment. We feel that this food would benefit from the exclusion of this ingredient. Rice Bran doesn’t offer very much to a dog nutrition dietary needs.
